In most states, this can be done entirely online if you have an in-state driver’s license or state ID number. In some cases, you may need to print and mail a form to complete your registration. NU Votes can help with printing and mailing.

Register Online with In-State ID Only

We recommend registering online if your state offers it – but ONLY if you have a driver's license or state ID from the SAME state you are registering. If you don’t, you can still register, just choose the paper form.
